During school year 2024-2025 - A Step in STEM
A Step In STEM is the meeting place for the youngest with science. Organized three times during this school year (2024/2025), this event offers children from 5 to 10 years old STEM discovery activities around real media. The activities are carried out in small groups by involving primary school teachers so that the event can have a follow-up in the classroom. Each group of two or three children discovers a system (robot, artificial flower,...) and can interact with it thanks to software adapted to their age.
For this school year, 2024-25, UPSTI is renewing its partnership with schools in the 7th and 8th arrondissements of Paris with the aim of introducing STEM to 1000 Parisian children. Interventions will also multiply in the provinces, particularly around Bordeaux, Toulouse and wherever our members wish to intervene.
Objectives of the event
- To allow the youngest students to learn about STEM with real support.
- To introduce science teaching, via a medium, to primary school teachers.
The organization of the event and the speakers
The teachers in the classes are volunteer teachers who are members of the UPSTI. The event is organized three times during the school year, registration must be done in advance on the UPSTI website.
