Global citizenship through vocational education and training
The EfVET Annual Conference 2026 will bring more than 500 vocational education and training stakeholders from Europe and beyond to Brussels around the theme Global Citizenship Empowered by VET.
The conference explores how vocational education and training can prepare learners not only for employment, but also for active participation in a changing society. Discussions will address global citizenship, democratic participation and the competences learners need to respond to social and technological change.
The event brings together VET leaders and practitioners, teachers and trainers, policymakers, representatives of European institutions, education experts, industry leaders and researchers. Workshops, roundtables and other sessions will provide opportunities to exchange practices, discuss policy developments and strengthen cooperation across the European VET community.
Taking place in Brussels, the conference also creates opportunities for dialogue with European policymakers at a time when the future direction of vocational education and training is high on the European agenda.
