Background:
In 2022, the Dutch National STEM Platform (PTvT) took over the FIRST Lego League robotics competition. To explore new models for further upscaling this model in cooperation with industry, and in the context of the broader Jet-Net programme for school-company partnerships a taskforce was launched to assess models already present in Germany, as well as the possibility for the development of cross-border competitions and activities.
Objectives:
To explore possible cross-border collaboration opportunites between PTvT and ZDI as well as how the Dutch FIRST Lego League could be upscaled using formats presented during the World Robot League (as well as Robotics Education Activities implemented by ZDI
Results:
A first work session and visit was organised. Several agreements were made for the exploration of future collaboration between the Dutch and German (NRW) STEM platforms (see meeting report)
