2026 General Assembly on 22 & 23 April in Istanbul, Turkey

We are pleased to announce that the next EU STEM Coalition General Assembly will take place on 22 and 23 April in Istanbul, Turkey.

Where: Istanbul, Turkey - Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus


The General Assembly brings together our network from across Europe to exchange, reflect, and work together on the future of STEM education, skills, and collaboration across ecosystems. The meeting will start in the afternoon of 22 April and continue throughout 23 April. On Friday, 24 April, we will organise an optional day of site visits.

Agenda

On April 22nd after the Welcoming session we wil start with the Commemoration of Beatrice Boots, Founder of the EU STEM Coalition. After that the presentation of EU STEM Coalition 5-year strategy by Rolf Schreuder (Director European Affairs PTvT) and Dr Pieter Moerman (Director PTvT).  In the evening Networking, posters session and matchmaking plus the introduction of new members.

On April 23rd after the Opening address by Prof. Dr. ZiyaSelçuk Former Minister of Education there will be several presentations
For example by the Turkish STEM Alliance - Best practices in STEM education in Turkey. and also a Keynote by Paula Walshe, "The underestimated importance of early Childhood STEM engagement". Further a Keynote by Professor Pedro Russo: "STEM of the Universe. How do we build a lasting culture of STEM learning in formal and informal education".

And of course there is plenty of time for meeting and networking.
