Background:

Science on Stage Europe brings together STEM teachers from across Europe to exchange best practices and teaching ideas and concepts with passionate colleagues from over 30 countries. A network of National Steering Committees in these countries provides the interface to their national science teaching communities.

Science on Stage Europe believes that the best way to improve science teaching and to encourage more schoolchildren to consider a career in science or engineering is to motivate and inform their teachers. The non-profit organisation was founded in 2000 and reaches 100,000 teachers Europe-wide and is mainly funded by industry partners.

Goal:

By spreading innovative teaching approaches among Europe's educators, Science on Stage enables more students to gain the STEM skills they need for our future. Every two years, the NGO organises Europe's largest science teaching festival.

Educators from primary to secondary schools across Europe share their ideas, projects and methods at booths and workshops. These ideas are then disseminated across Europe through follow-up activities such as webinars, competitions, teacher training and teaching resources. In this way, Science on Stage Europe strengthens science and technology education in schools, industry and society.

Science on Stage Europe collaborates with partners from universities, government, and industry, and is always open to new collaborations. Get in touch to support innovative STEM teachers and contribute to the future of STEM education.
