Members:From 19–21 March 2025, educators from across Europe and beyond gathered in Florence and online for the 14th edition of the New Perspectives in Science Education (NPSE) conference.
Stefanie Schlunk, Chair of Science on Stage Europe, proudly presented the paper “Teachers Empowering Teachers: Transforming Science Education through Peer-Led Training”, highlighting its innovative model for teacher-driven professional development. In her talk, Science on Stage Europe Chair Stefanie Schlunk introduced the organisation’s peer-to-peer approach, showing how teachers inspire and support each other through practical, hands-on training designed “by teachers, for teachers”.
The presentation emphasised how this model encourages creativity, real-world classroom application, and collaboration on key topics such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and inclusion.
By connecting over 100,000 teachers in 35 countries, Science on Stage fosters a vibrant, motivated teaching community where educators exchange ideas, improve their practice, and engage students more effectively in STEM learning.
