The EU has invested heavily in increasing STEM uptake and achieving gender equality in STEM. To maximise the reach and impact of these initiatives they need to be better aligned with the existing large-scale national and regional STE(A)M programmes and networks.
This position paper provides recommendations on how the EU could leverage the existing large-scale national and regional programme infrastructure - in particular those managed by the national and regional STEM platform organisations - to increase the impact of EU-level initiatives in STE(A)M.
